Computer Problems.

Sometime in 2004, I sold my littel red MR8 that I used to use as a recording device, then I would copy the wav files to the computer for mixing. This worked fucking great, and the quality was excellent and there was never any issues.

When I sold that, I bought a M-audio delta 66 PCI card and I used Ntrack v4. Everything worked perfectly.

My jetway brand motherboard died in early 2005, and I replaced it with an Asus brand. From that point on I have not been able to record a single song. I threw tons of money at this computer to make it work, replaced every part including the MB and sound card.

I gave up this past weekend, after 2 years. I gave the computer to a friend of mine.

I went to the local music store and bought an M-audio mobilepre usb device which I plugged into my imac.

Now things are really working smoothly. Garageband is easy to use and has great sounding effects in it. The sound quality isn't what I'm used to but the average person can't really tell the difference and it's easy to use.

PROBLEM SOLVED. The imac and a USB sound card. Who knew!?

A new entry...

Hey all!

Yeah it's been over a year, the domain expired, was taken over by squatters, who gave up, and now we're back. Currently using a free hosting account at GoDaddy since it's been a number of years since anything musical has come out of this place. :)

Updates: We moved, had the big house, things happen, we moved to an apartment, that apartment was run by a slum lord, we moved AGAIN. We're in an apartment, I closed my store and started working in a new business, and so far so good. :)

We started working on a satire song for someone I work with (Post more about this later) and we have had a blast figuring out the old recording software again. Ideas flowing and you might just see new original music again!

Andrea has joined / started a new band and I hope we'll get some music from them soon!

Uncle Crazy and I have been in talks about writing a new album together....

Stuff is happening!

Jeanie Sunshine.

Jeanie Sunshine has been recorded! Jeff Ross again programmed the drums and I got the guitars and bass recorded. Andrea has written some very nice lyrics for this one (Her first song we have recorded!) and it's sounding good.

The house is up for sale and I've already moved to the new location, where we have so much space it's not even funny! The new studio is massive and since it's out in the country there are no more neighbours to complain!

I will get a copy of the song posted as soon as Andrea can record new vocals, and another friend of ours will be wailing on a guitar solo for this one! (More info as we get it finished!)

Music News.

Here's the real poop. ;)

Andrea and I have started writing the next CD. We are also going to be performing some "unplugged" shows over the next few months while we work on the new CD. We will no longer be using a full band for anything, I will again play bass on the cd's, and will either program the drums myself or Rocket Rik Keating (Old AOM drummer) will come in and lay down real drums for us.

This will give us a lot more creativity in our music as we will not have to deal with any other ego's but our own (which are LARGE enough trust me!).

I will post songs here as they are completed and again the CD will be available for free (or nearly so!).

This will take a bit longer then last time as we're currently in the process of moving, my townhouse is just not big enough for what I want to do anymore and once I'm moved I'll have a dedicated outbuilding for the studio which will allow us to play as loud and long into the night as we want!

Stay tuned, you haven't heard the last of us!

Laugh.

Again, been a while between posts.. Hasn't been much to talk about.

Since my last post, Uncle Crazy left the band, and as of today 'Devil' Dave has gone.

Andrea and I are currenly thinking about going our seperate ways musically as well.

I'll keep you all informed as things change!
